About the job
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all HR operational activities, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, managing employee relations, recruitment, executing disciplinary actions, and driving the implementation of Corporate HR programs. This role ensures the seamless execution of regional HR initiatives while adapting them to the local business environment to enhance employee experience and maintain a positive work culture.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor to local business leaders and Head of Department providing insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with line managers and key stakeholders to support decision-making on hiring, performance management, workforce planning, and retention initiatives.
  • Oversee all HR operational activities, ensuring compliance with Costa Rican labor law, regulation, and company policies.
  • Manage employee relations ensuring smooth resolution of conflicts while maintaining a positive work culture.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for Costa Rica in a timely manner.
  • Champion a positive, engaging, and inclusive workplace culture by implementing local HR initiatives that enhance employee experience. Support and promote corporate Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) programs at the local level.
  • Partner with regional HR teams to ensure effective communication and implementation of employee well-being initiatives and other initiatives related to Talent, Learning and Culture.
  • Ensure the effective execution of regional and global HR programs, adapting them to meet local business requirements.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to the Regional Head of HR, highlighting workforce trends, risks, and key HR metrics.

About you
We are looking for a unique and amazing talent, who brings along the following:
  • University degree in any business studies.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a Human Resources leadership role.
  • Fluent in English to effectively communicate with local employees, management and global stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of labor laws, organizational culture, communication.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, payroll processes, compensation & benefits and recruitment.
