Since opening its first store in 1997, with the name of Athletes World, AW LAB is part of the Bata group, world leader in the footwear industry, with over 5,000 stores in more than 70 countries. AW LAB proposes a wide collection of sneakers of the most famous international sport brands and a wide range of exclusive designs created in collaboration with them. The proposal is completed by a collection of apparel and accessories of the leading sportswear brand and by two private clothing labels.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE: We are looking for an
ACCOUNTANT INTERN
to join the Finance Europe Team, supporting accounting and financial activities across Italy, Spain, and Switzerland. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in areas such as accounts payable, general accounting, reconciliations, audit support, and process improvement, while working in a dynamic and international environment alongside experienced finance professionals.
KEY CHALLENGES:
Support in the management and monitoring of accounts payable activities
Support in the preparation and posting of accounting adjustment entries
Collaboration in the management of general accounting activities, including invoice recording and account reconciliations
Support in the preparation of documentation required for external audits and internal audit activities
Support in verifying compliance and adequacy of financial processes in line with company policies and applicable regulations
Contribution to the implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes
CORE COMPETENCIES:
University in progress or Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related fields
Good knowledge of Office Suite, especially Excel
Delivers in consistent way following his department priorities, respecting the deadlines
Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Good analytical skills and attention to details
LANGUAGES:
Italian mother tongue
Good knowledge of English
