Overview

The role is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders with the aim to lead project activities including preparation of deliverables, process design and business partner’s iteration management. Defining the current and future state of the Menarini Group business processes, identifying issues and risks, suggesting mitigation strategies and driving towards technology solutions, this person must be:

  • Determined to succeed by driving timely delivery of end-to-end IT solutions

This role will be responsible for the effective implementation, management and optimization of the Supply Chain solutions, specifically focusing on Supply and Demand Planning, Logistic, Sales and Operations planning - driving internal and external partners, configuring and maintaining the system, managing updates and troubleshooting issues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain processes, technical expertise in relevant applications, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across the globe.

The Global Application & Processes Specialist will work closely with the key stakeholders to gather customer requirements, translate them into clear requirements documents, write compelling business cases and proposals, and then deliver cost-effective solutions, tracking business feedbacks in order to build improvements into future solution requirements.

Main Activities & Responsibilities

  • Process design:
  • Mapping of business processes and analysis of the impact of new processes or systems within the Company group
  • Process modelling (as-is) and re-design (to-be) according to predefined goals or changing driver
  • Business operating model’ improvements identification in line with business objectives and priorities
  • Benchmarking about emerging technologies and their potential impact on Supply Chain processes, advocating for their adoption when relevant.
  • Support the Business Key-Users and Process Owners managing the change, with all the related aspects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to thoroughly understand business needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Project Management and Execution :
  • Interact with Business Key-Users and Process Owners
  • Gather and analyse business requirements
  • Design the technical solution
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects (draw project documentation, detail project scope, check priorities)
  • Manage external providers and relationships with technology vendors, implementation partners, and other stakeholders, ensuring successful project delivery, ongoing support, and alignment with strategic objectives
  • Oversee the implementation of selected business applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes, while maximizing the value delivered by each platform.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, manage the change requests
  • Drive user adoption of new technologies and processes leading through effective change management and communication
  • Lead multiple projects, managing the related budgets, track spending, and optimize spending on the different initiatives
  • Support Post go-live
  • Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive)
  • Application Maintenance and Continuous Improvement
  • Perform project lessons learned, gather feedback from Business Key-Users and Process Owners on the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and collaborate with internal stakeholders or vendors to address them.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor the Application Maintenance budget and track spending
  • Maintain robust governance structures for all implemented solutions, safeguarding system integrity and compliance with Global standards and policies
  • Business Applications management :
  • Business Applications lifecycle management (Maintenance & Retirement included)
  • Supervise the end-to-end integration process and related roadmaps
  • Collaborate with strategic vendors and drive the contractual stages to set up the relationship
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to support cross-functional integration and system optimization

Job Requirements

  • Education:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering or Computer Science
  • English language: from B2 level
  • Professional experience:
  • 5+ years relevant professional experience in a comparable position in an international company with a complex structure or in a consulting company
  • Previous experience in process design projects
  • Previous experience in transformation initiatives as Functional Analyst
  • Deep knowledge on Demand to Stock processes (from planning/scheduling to production and logistic management) with specific experience in the pharmaceutical and diagnostic industry in compliance with GxP regulations within a complex operational landscape
  • Proven experience in leading successful IT Projects, with a focus on implementing business applications (e.g. ERP, Supply Chain Planning Systems, Warehouse Management systems) preferably within manufacturing sector of pharmaceutical and diagnostic industry or similar industries
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain processes
  • Experience working with Supply Chain and Logistic functions.
  • Strong project management skills, PMP® certified (preferred)
  • Experience in SAP APO or other Supply Chain Planning systems
  • Experience with Warehouse Management systems
  • Experience in one or more SAP modules (e.g. SAP Production Planning (PP-PI) or SAP eWM) or other relevant ERP platforms is considered as a plus
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, like Power BI or similar platforms will be beneficial
  • Additional knowledge:
  • Experience in digital innovation and transformation
