About iGravity - iGravity is a specialized impact investment management and advisory firm committed to building a more equitable and sustainable financial system. We design and manage blended finance solutions that support local enterprises, delivering strong financial returns and meaningful social and environmental impact for both institutional investors and philanthropic partners.
iGravity works with development organizations across the investment lifecycle — from early-stage strategy and innovative finance design to the development of robust Impact Measurement & Management (IMM) systems. On the investment side, we manage private debt strategies focused on emerging markets. Our portfolio includes direct debt investments in local SMEs, as well as investments in local funds and private notes, all guided by clearly defined impact lenses and return expectations.
Impact Measurement and Management sits at the heart of everything we do. As we scale our investment strategies and advisory practice, we are seeking a motivated Impact Associate with 2–4 years of relevant experience to strengthen our Impact team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge IMM practice across impact funds, impact-linked finance, and advisory mandates in emerging markets.
Your Role
The Impact Associate will work across iGravity's investment and advisory business lines, with the following responsibilities:
• Supporting IMM system design and implementation for iGravity-managed funds and Impact-Linked Funds, including refining theories of change, defining impact KPIs, and building data collection tools aligned with industry standards (IRIS+, SDGs, Operating Principles for Impact Management, Impact Management Project).
• Conducting impact due diligence on prospective investees — including SMEs, local funds, and private notes in Sub-Saharan Africa, MENA, and LATAM — assessing alignment with fund impact lenses and identifying key impact risks and opportunities.
• Managing portfolio impact monitoring and reporting , including:
– Collecting, reviewing, and analyzing impact and ESG data from portfolio companies.
– Building and maintaining impact dashboards and internal data management tools.
– Preparing investor-facing impact reports, case studies, and thematic deep-dives.
• Contributing to advisory mandates on IMM, advising development actors, foundations, and investors on designing impact strategies, measurement frameworks, and outcome-based finance mechanisms. This includes literature reviews, stakeholder interviews, benchmarking, and preparation of client deliverables.
• Supporting outcome verification for Impact-Linked Finance transactions, working with investees and independent verifiers to validate achievement of agreed-upon impact outcomes.
• Contributing to thought leadership and business development by co-authoring publications, preparing proposals for new IMM mandates, and representing iGravity at relevant industry events and networks.
• Providing ad hoc support to other iGravity business lines as needed.
Who you are
Key attributes and skills for this role are:
• 2–4 years of relevant working experience in impact measurement and management, impact investing, sustainable finance, development consulting, or monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), ideally within a consulting firm, asset manager, development finance institution, foundation, or development agency.
• Hands-on experience designing or applying IMM frameworks and familiarity with industry standards such as IRIS+, the SDGs, the Impact Management Project (five dimensions of impact), the Operating Principles for Impact Management, and/or SDG Impact Standards.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills , with demonstrated ability to work with impact and financial data, build KPI frameworks, and translate raw data into clear insights. Proficiency in Excel is essential; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
• Exposure to emerging markets and a strong understanding of impact investing, blended finance, and SMEs in Sub-Saharan Africa, MENA, and/or LATAM — ideally with some field or project experience.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities , with the capability to process and synthesize large amounts of information from various sources into actionable recommendations.
• Persuasive communication skills , enabling you to articulate technical impact concepts clearly — in writing and verbally — to investors, clients, and investees.
• Strong organizational skills , enabling effective time and task management while fostering transparent communication with your team across borders.
• Fluency in English ; Spanish is desirable, other languages (French, Portuguese, Arabic) a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications , including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, international development, finance, sustainability, public policy, data science, or a related field.
