Berco is part of ThyssenKrupp Group and produces undercarriages for mining, construction, forestry and agriculture machinery.
Italian Offices and the largest factory are located in Copparo ( Ferrara).
We are aiming to hire an
Indirect Procurement Manager
who will report to the Head of Procurement Industry Europe FT-IEU and will lead a team of 2 or 3.
The Indirect Procurement Manager will oversee purchasing Indirect materials and will be responsible for:
- Developing portfolio category strategies for Indirect Materials (e.g. professional services, IT, utilities, logistics, MRO, marketing, travel, etc.).
- Sourcing strategies required to achieve the targets of the yearly cost saving budget and to mediate the award decisions for the development and the supply of new services and supplies.
- Definition of RFx and lead price negotiations, securing the overall targets of deadlines and costs.
- Definition and maintenance of supplier relationships and long-term contracts.
- Oversee and optimize end-to-end indirect procurement procedures, processes, including managing suppliers master data (on SAP), optimizing purchase order flows.
- Collaborate closely with internal site functions (Operations, IT, R&D, Finance) to understand their needs and ensure strategic alignment.
- Collaborate with all other ThyssenKrupp Group stakeholders and sites, exploring any potential for synergies with the Berco operations.
- Provide mentoring and team development, with the ability to control the workforce plan, leading and motivating the team by managing e monitoring the activities (negotiation skills improvement, timing and accountability).
- Collaborate within the site and within ThyssenKrupp Group to actively coordinate and assist in EHS, Sustainability, and Compliance activities.
The ideal candidate has developed a significant similar experience within other companies working within Indirect Materials Procurement.
IDEAL REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
- At least 7-10 years of progressive experience in Procurement, with a significant and proven focus on Indirect Procurement, preferably in multinational manufacturing environments.
- Excellent track record in negotiating complex contracts and leading cost reduction and optimization initiatives.
- Solid knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems for procurement management.
- Proficient in MS Office – Excel – PowerPoint
- Strong leadership, analytical skills, results-orientation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive mindset, oriented towards change and innovation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization and with suppliers.
- Fluent knowledge of English (written and spoken); knowledge of other languages is a plus.
