Industrial Controller

JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is hiring a Finance Industrial Controller to join Burberry Tecnica, supporting the Outerwear division at the centre of industrial and supply chain operations. The role plays a critical part in strengthening cost control, margin visibility and financial discipline, enabling confident decision‑making across teams. Acting as a finance partner to Operations, Product and Supply Chain, this position translates complex data into clear, actionable insight. The work directly supports craft, quality and long‑term value creation across Burberry’s industrial network.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver industrial controlling and performance analysis for Burberry Tecnica, with a focus on cost, margin and operational drivers.
• Prepare and analyse monthly financial results, including variance analysis versus budget and forecast, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Support month‑end closing activities, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely delivery of reporting.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain and Product teams to provide financial insight that informs sourcing and production decisions.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and seasonal planning through robust costing and margin analysis.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including standardisation, automation and the development of reporting and BI tools.

PERSONAL PROFILE

• Experience in finance controlling, industrial finance or a related analytical role, with exposure to cost and margin dynamics.
• Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly.
• A collaborative mindset, comfortable working with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
• A structured, detail‑oriented approach, balanced with commercial awareness.
• Curiosity and openness to improving processes, tools and ways of working.
• Familiarity with business intelligence or reporting tools is valued, but not essential.
