About the Role
As a Program Manager you will play a critical leadership role in delivering complex cloud transformation programs for our largest customers in the UK and EMEA. You will manage cross-functional teams, ensure timely delivery of strategic outcomes, and provide executive-level guidance throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic, multi-million-pound cloud transformation programs with enterprise and public sector clients.
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams across engineering, consulting, customer success, and partner ecosystems.
- Develop and maintain project plans, risk management strategies, and stakeholder communication frameworks.
- Own the end-to-end program delivery including governance, reporting, and financial oversight.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with customer CxOs and key internal stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment with Google Cloud methodologies and best practices for delivery excellence.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and consultants within the team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for delivery processes and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of program/project management experience, including leadership of cloud, IT, or digital transformation programs, in a customer facing role working with enterprise clients
- Working experience in Program Management on technical cross-functional projects.
- Experience in a software focused program/project management and in the business technology market in IaaS, PaaS, cloud computing and/or emerging technologies.
- Comfortable talking about technical things with business people and business things with technical people. Able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences.
- Experience in understanding of architecting and developing large scale distributed systems on Cloud. Experience in managing project schedules, identifying possible issues and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced environment. Customer facing experience of discovery, assessment, execution, and operations.
- Strong familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, tools, and delivery methodologies.
- Proficiency in project governance frameworks such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly at the executive level.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Cloud Digital Leader).
- Experience working within public sector or regulated industries in the UK or EMEA.
- Direct experience managing or contributing to Google Cloud or Google PSO-led engagements, including cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, or data analytics programs.
- Change management certification (e.g., PROSCI) or Agile program leadership.
- Demonstrated success navigating internal Google processes, tools (e.g., gSuite, Asana, gTrack), or PSO ecosystems.
