SRS Servizi di Ricerche e sviluppo is searching for Automation System engineer .

The candidate will work in the Design Team of the I&C Area of SRS and will be involved in the design for Energy Industry (Oil & gas and Nuclear Industry ).

According to the candidate background, the candidate will have design and management responsibilities.

The ideal candidate should be able to:

• Read and modify P&ID (ISA standards);
• Identify measurement instruments based on process characteristics;
• Develop control system architectures and technical specifications;
• Draft technical supply and procurement specifications for hardware and software;
• Analyze, understand, and size hardware systems and communication systems (Ethernet, EtherCAT, Modbus, Profinet) related to automation systems;
• Have a good command of written and spoken English.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science/Automation (or equivalent title/work experience).

Preferred but not mandatory:

• Ability to develop control system architectures, primarily based on National Instruments, SIEMENS, or HIMA hardware;
• Develop software applications in languages such as G, C++, KOP, or AWL for PLC systems;
• Work experience in PLC or embedded system programming;
• Proficiency in production tools, including Office and 2D drawing CAD software.

Additional qualities, not required but appreciated:

• Previous experience in commissioning & testing hardware and software in the field;
• Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad;
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software;
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team;
• Knowledge of the GNU/Linux operating system and real-time operating systems.
