Innovation Buyer
who is passionate about
emerging technologies,
disruptive business models, and building
strategic partnerships
that can shape the
future of the automotive industry .
In this role, you will act as a key
connector
between the external innovation ecosystem and our internal stakeholders, identifying breakthrough technologies, innovative suppliers, startups, research centers, and new business opportunities from both automotive and non-automotive industries.
You will play a critical role in bringing innovative solutions into future products, services, manufacturing processes, and customer experiences, contributing directly to Stellantis\' transformation journey.
MISSION As an Innovation Buyer, you will
scout the market for emerging technologies
and
strategic innovation opportunities
while leading sourcing and supplier engagement activities that support the introduction of game-changing solutions across the organization.
You will collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Sustainability, and Product teams to identify, evaluate, and develop innovative partnerships capable of delivering long-term competitive advantages.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Innovation Scouting & Technology Intelligence
Identify emerging technologies, innovative suppliers, startups, universities, research institutes, and technology partners worldwide.
Monitor global market trends, technological developments, and innovation ecosystems across multiple industries.
Evaluate opportunities to transfer solutions from non-automotive sectors into automotive applications.
Build and maintain a strong network of innovation partners and technology providers.
Maintain a robust innovation pipeline aligned with business priorities and future mobility trends.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development
Lead sourcing activities for innovation projects, including supplier identification, assessments,
RFQs, negotiations, and contracting.
Evaluate suppliers based on innovation capability, technical maturity, scalability, financial stability, and strategic fit.
Establish and develop long-term partnerships with high-potential suppliers and technology providers.
Support supplier onboarding and development activities to accelerate innovation implementation.
Cross-Functional Project Support
Partner closely with Engineering, R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Sustainability, and Procurement teams.
Support innovation projects from early concept stages through industrialization and implementation.
Facilitate the integration of innovative solutions into products, services, processes, and business models.
Contribute to business cases, risk assessments, and strategic decision-making processes.
Innovation Ecosystem Engagement
Organize and participate in Technology Days, Innovation Workshops, Startup Challenges, and Supplier Innovation Forums.
Represent the company at international trade fairs, conferences, technology exhibitions, and innovation events.
Identify collaboration opportunities with startups, accelerators, venture ecosystems, and research centers.
Promote a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing across the organization.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor\'s or Master\'s Degree in
Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Innovation Management , or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience
in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Development, Innovation Procurement, Open Innovation, Technology Scouting, or related functions.
Proven experience managing
supplier relationships , sourcing projects, and commercial negotiations.
Experience working in
innovation-driven environments , technology-intensive industries, or complex international organizations.
Automotive industry experience
is a plus, but we also welcome candidates from aerospace, electronics, energy, industrial, technology, consulting, or other highly innovative sectors.
Strong understanding of
procurement
and
strategic sourcing
methodologies.
Ability to assess
emerging technologies
and innovation opportunities from both business and technical perspectives.
Experience in
supplier evaluation , market analysis, and innovation project support.
Strong
analytical and problem-solving capabilities .
Fluent
English
is required; additional languages are a plus.
OFFER
Salary range : from 43.000€ to 52.000€, that will be defined depending on the level of adherence of the candidate to the job requirements
Collective Agreement : In accordance with the provisions of the Specific Collective Labour Agreement (CCSL – CNEL code: CO10), and in particular with regard to the classification within the third professional area.
