Insurance Consultant / Senior Consultant role at iason.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and upskill the team.
• Be responsible for model design and validation (e.g., ESG – Economic Scenario Generator –; products pricing and simulation, …) for at least one among market, credit and insurance-specific risks.
• Guide risk model implementation / integration for either prototype, POC or production-ready models.
• Be responsible for writing and maintaining the documentation, on models and processes, to be delivered to the client (e.g., Risk Management, Internal Validation, …).
• Possibly advisory on maintaining and enhancing the IT architecture (e.g., on-Cloud digitalization).
• Be the front-end with the client, hence accountable for the team and for the client’s deliveries.
• Help the Insurance Service Line to grow, both in terms of value propositions for the clients and of knowledge contamination within the company.
• Collaborate to the realization of iason’s development projects and research.

Analytical and Technical Requirements

• MSc in Mathematics, Physics, Mathematical Engineering or second level master’s in quantitative finance.
• Solid knowledge of the Solvency II regulation.
• Solid knowledge of the main risks an insurance company must manage, and a solid knowledge of at least a risk class (e.g., Market Risks, Credit Risks, …) modelling for Solvency II.
• Solid math / statistical foundations.
• Prior experience in a consultancy (insurance service line) and / or in an insurance company is required.
• Beneficial is a strong programming affinity and skills, better if on an object-oriented language (C++, Java, Python, …).
• Beneficial is the knowledge of the main derivative products (payoffs, primary pricing models, market sensitivities, …).
• Beneficial is the knowledge of AI models and libraries.
• Beneficial in the knowledge of Cloud architecture (e.g., AWS or GCP components) and tools (e.g., Google BigQuery, Google DataFlow, AWS Bedrock, …).
• Analytical mindset, critical thinking and problem-solving attitude.
• Team work as well as ability to work independently tight to project deadlines.
• Fluent English
