The Integration Lead is responsible for managing and coordinating API integrations between Business Units (BUs) and the NMWH BFF, ensuring correct specifications for the FE team to consume APIs effectively. The APIs to be implemented are sourced from the Group’s Common API Catalog, ensuring standardization and reuse.

This role will coordinate a small team of Integration Analysts, plan integration activities and ensure consistent delivery aligned with project timelines. The position requires autonomy, strong pressure management, problem-solving skills, and continuous collaboration with multiple stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements against the Global Business API Common Catalog to ensure alignment with Group standards, identifying any gaps or necessary adjustments
  • Work closely with BUs IT and functional teams to gather integration requirements, ensuring local applications comply with NMWH standards
  • Define and document technical specifications for the FE team to guarantee accurate API consumption
  • Support development teams in analyzing complex business requirements and understanding their impact on the FE, BFF and BE layers
  • Plan and coordinate API delivery for multiple countries, managing priorities and dependencies
  • Facilitate onboarding of new BUs into the NMWH architecture and standards
  • Oversee integration testing strategies, ensuring consistent data exchange and minimizing defects
  • Act as the primary point of contact for integration questions between BUs, solution architects, and development teams

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in digital technology development and architecture, including management of complex IT projects and API management
  • Solid knowledge of IT Architecture, covering both FE and BE applications
  • Solid background in the analysis of complex business requirements, especially in digital asset environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of collaborating effectively with international and cross‑functional teams
  • Familiarity in API integration between distributed systems, knowing global integration standards and common data models (protocols like REST/SOAP, authentication methods – OAuth, JWT)
  • Familiarity with BFF patterns and microservices architecture
  • Basic understanding of API security standards and authentication mechanisms
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Effective communication skills in both English and Italian
