nterim Financial Business Analyst (12-Month Contract)

Location: Northeast Milan

Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months

A dynamic international company operating in the transportation systems sector is looking for a Business Analyst to join their finance and operations team on a temporary assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex data in a multinational context.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support for transformation initiatives across multiple business units within the Europe-Africa region
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic insights, dashboards, and executive-level presentations
  • Interpret operational and financial performance data, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Assist in tracking progress of key projects, focusing on cost management, KPIs, and outcome delivery
  • Collaborate with local leadership teams to ensure consistent reporting, data accuracy, and alignment on strategic goals
  • Organize and follow up on strategic workshops and transformation-related meetings
  • Help develop standardized frameworks for project governance and performance monitoring
  • Deliver ad-hoc financial modelling and scenario analysis to support decision-making


Candidate Profile

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or similar
  • At least 4 years of experience in business finance, consulting, transformation projects, or operational roles—ideally within an international organization
  • Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of project cost tracking, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Skilled at managing, analyzing, and simplifying complex datasets
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and engaging with stakeholders across different countries
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience preparing presentations for leadership audiences
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to travel when needed
