INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER – Irrigation Sector


You will be part of a growing company, working with the sales and marketing teams based near Milan. The job focus will be on developing new business with existing distributors in Rain’s international markets and recruiting and developing new distributors. Key aspects of the role involve providing sales and marketing support, general product support, supporting clients on strategic irrigation projects and installations, developing new end user clients, launching new products.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop the business with existing Rain distributors in international markets in Central and Eastern Europe and other targeted markets.
  • Plan to spend dedicated time in each target market to build authentic relationships with local clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Develop business with new distribution partners, through client scouting and new client acquisition.
  • Identify and leverage new business opportunities, focusing on market expansion and revenue growth
  • Manage pricing policy in line with company guidelines.
  • Manage client product presentations to distributors and professional irrigation installers.
  • Prepare management reports to monitor and analyse sales performance and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the wider Sales Team, and with other company functions such as marketing, product development, and customer support.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs and client events.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sales experience in irrigation markets or adjacent markets such as water management or HVAC/Plumbing of over 5 years.
  • Strong B2B sales and business development experience of over 5 years.
  • Field and office-based business development role with regular international business trips to meet clients, attend events, and visit distribution partners.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English, Italian and preferably another language.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • A successful track record with a strong commercial approach and a true understanding of working with data to make excellent decisions.
  • International travel expected to be over 40% of working time.
