RINA is currently recruiting for a Internship - MEP Engineer to join its office in Genoa within the Civil Engineering Division.

Mission

The Building MEP Engineer will be an integral part of teams dedicated to Building MEP & Technology Innovation Consultancy Engineering. The primary responsibility will be to support energy efficiency and innovation projects at building and district level focusing on systems resilient to climate change. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to enhance sustainability, reduce environmental impact, and improve resilience within building ecosystem.

Key Accountabilities

  • Energy and Resilience Assessment
    • Conduct detailed assessments of energy usage and resilience in building sector;
    • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to improve resilience with innovative MEP solutions.
  • Project Planning and Design
    • Assist in the development and implementation of innovation projects tailored to client needs;
    • Assist in the development and implementation of risk assessment methodologies.
  • Renewable Energy Integration
    • Support the evaluation and integration of renewable energy sources in buildings and districts;
    • Assist in the design and implementation of renewable energy sources during building construction and renovation phases.
  • Innovative Technology Implementation
    • Research and evaluate innovative technologies and equipment to improve energy efficiency and increase building resilience;
    • Assist in the implementation and deployment of new technologies, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project findings, outcomes, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Master’s Degree in Energy Engineering or Engineering General

Qualifications

  • Technical skills on energy efficiency and building physics;
  • Experience with energy modelling and simulations;
  • Experience in the use MATLAB/Python is a plus;
  • Analytical and quantitative skills for data analysis and interpretation;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Fluent English.
