As an Associate in the Investment Banking M&A Italian team in Milan, you will help shape and execute cross-border transactions. You will work with local and global teams to support the full deal cycle, from pitches and financial analysis to client memoranda and presentations. You will lead execution activities, collaborate with analysts and associates, and engage with senior bankers and clients. This role offers exposure to a growing M&A vertical and frequent international travel, with a focus on delivering strategic value for clients and the firm.

Responsibilities

• Build complex financial models and perform valuation and merger analyses
• Draft presentation materials, management and Board materials, memoranda, and client‑facing slides
• Monitor market developments and stay informed on M&A structuring and execution
• Collaborate with industry, country, and product teams during origination and execution
• Organize and project manage M&A processes
• Support due diligence, deal documentation, and announcement preparation
• Liaise with clients, advisers, and regulators as appropriate

Qualifications

• Prior investment banking experience
• Strong academic background from a top-tier institution
• Outstanding financial modelling skills
• Clear understanding of the transaction cycle and steps
• Impeccable communication with senior professionals and clients
• Interest in M&A structuring
• Eagerness to learn and grow in corporate finance
• Self‑directed, entrepreneurial, motivated, and able to work independently
• Fluent in Italian and English
• Solid understanding of broader IB products
• Experience in dealing with clients and transactional advisers
