Investment Banking M&A Senior Analyst | Industrials, Automotive and Defence

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Senior Analyst to join Mediobanca’s Corporate Finance division within the Industrials, Automotive and Defence M&A team , based in Milan. As a Senior Analyst, you will support both origination and execution across cross-border transactions, contributing to client relationships and deal delivery within one of the most active sector teams at Mediobanca.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis, valuations, and advanced financial modelling for M&A transactions across Industrials, Automotive and Defence sectors.
• Prepare high-quality client materials, including pitch books, information memoranda and execution documentation.
• Conduct detailed company and industry research, developing sector insights across OEMs, components, capital goods and mobility.
• Analyse potential acquisition targets and assess strategic and financial capacity of prospective buyers.
• Constant monitor M&A, equity, and debt capital markets, with a focus on sector-specific dynamics and trends.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, with prior exposure to Industrials, Automotive and/or Defence transactions.
• Strong technical skills in financial modeling and valuation methodologies.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tick deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
• Team-oriented mindset with high attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier university or business school.
