The part you'll play
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented IP Legal Counsel to join our Legal team based in our HQ in Florence (IT). In this role, you will provide expert legal support on intellectual property matters across various internal departments, including Creative, Marketing & Communication, Licensing, Merchandising, and Operations. You will play a key role in managing our IP portfolio, supporting enforcement actions, and ensuring our brand protection strategies are robust and effective.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide clear and practical legal guidance to internal teams on IP-related matters across Creative, Marketing, Licensing, Merchandising, and Operations.
- Assist the Legal Team in drafting and reviewing marketing and communication contracts.
- Support the management and administration of the trademark and design portfolios.
- Coordinate the collection of documents for trademark renewals, registrations, declarations of use, and enforcement actions such as litigation and oppositions.
- Monitor pending IP matters in collaboration with external trademark agents.
- Contribute to the preparation and management of the IP Legal budget.
- Conduct clearance searches for trademarks and designs and oversee brand protection initiatives, particularly online.
What you’ll bring
- A law degree with at least 2 years’ professional experience within a legal or in-house department, ideally focused on IP matters in the fashion, luxury, or creative industries, as well as advertising law.
- Good knowledge of IP portfolio management and brand protection strategies.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build relationships across departments.
- Well-organised and detail-oriented.
