The Opportunity A leading international industrial group headquartered in the Verona area is embarking on a strategic
SAP S/4HANA Greenfield transformation program
aimed at redesigning business processes, standardizing operations and creating a future-ready enterprise application landscape.
To support the successful execution of this major transformation initiative, we are seeking an experienced
IT Governance Manager
who will be responsible for establishing and driving the governance framework of the program.
Reporting directly to the
Chief Information Officer (CIO)
and working closely with the SAP transformation leadership team, business stakeholders and implementation partners, the Governance Manager will ensure transparency, alignment and execution discipline across all SAP transformation streams.
Role Responsibilities
Define and lead the SAP S/4HANA program governance model, ensuring effective coordination across all transformation streams.
Establish governance standards, processes and reporting frameworks to support successful program execution.
Provide the CIO and SAP transformation leadership team with clear visibility on program status, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and key decisions.
Prepare executive-level reporting, dashboards and steering committee materials.
Coordinate governance activities across functional teams, business stakeholders, IT teams and external System Integrators.
Maintain oversight of the integrated program plan, ensuring alignment between milestones, priorities, dependencies and business objectives.
Drive structured management of risks, issues, decisions and change requests.
Facilitate governance meetings, steering committees and working groups, ensuring effective follow-up and action tracking.
Ensure consistency and quality of program documentation, communication flows and delivery standards.
Support escalation management by identifying potential blockers and ensuring timely resolution.
Contribute to improving program management practices throughout the SAP transformation lifecycle.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is an experienced transformation governance professional with a strong background in managing complex enterprise IT programs, preferably within SAP environments.
Required Experience
Proven experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation programs, ideally SAP S/4HANA implementations.
Strong background in program governance, PMO, transformation office or complex project management roles.
Experience working in environments involving multiple business functions, internal teams and external consulting partners.
Ability to structure executive-level reporting and governance processes.
Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, risk management and transformation governance.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with CIO-level stakeholders and business leadership.
Preferred Background
Experience within industrial, manufacturing, food & beverage, consumer goods or similar environments.
Experience managing governance activities within large SAP implementation programs.
Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and SAP implementation phases.
Previous experience working with global System Integrators and SAP consulting firms.
