Job Description Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, manage, and optimize our on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, scalability, and performance of systems while supporting business growth and digital transformation initiatives.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS).
- Manage and monitor servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and network components.
- Administer cloud environments, including compute, networking, storage, and security services.
- Ensure system reliability, performance, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, patching, and access controls.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and operations using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Collaborate with application, security, and DevOps teams to support deployments and integrations.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Support capacity planning and cost optimization for on-prem and cloud environments.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and cloud adoption projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of on-prem infrastructure (Windows/Linux servers, virtualization such as VMware/Hyper-V, storage, networking).
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Cloud and/or infrastructure certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, VMware).
- Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- ITIL knowledge or certification.
