FGM Architects (FGMA) is seeking a senior-level IT Specialist III to join our IT team. As a key technical leader, this role will support the firm's infrastructure, guide IT strategy, and mentor junior team members. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both hands-on problem solving and strategic project execution across multiple office locations.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as final-level technical escalation point for complex issues and systems (Newforma, Vision / Vantagepoint, etc.)
  • Manage firmwide server room systems, including lifecycle planning and hardware upgrades
  • Lead infrastructure efforts for office expansions and relocations
  • Maintain and review Group Policies and related server configurations
  • Administer VMware and Panzura environments
  • Lead cybersecurity strategies and remediation efforts
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve firmwide IT performance
  • Mentor and train new and existing IT team members
  • Maintain consistent documentation across all office systems and equipment
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the IT Director in IT planning and project execution

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience including infrastructure, server administration, and project leadership
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Group Policy, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and cybersecurity practices
  • Experience with VMware environments and enterprise storage platforms (Panzura preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience
  • Proven ability to manage vendors and coordinate support across multiple locations
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills
