Overview
The IT Support Coordinator supports day-to-day technology operations at Iniala Valletta, acting as the primary on-site contact for all IT-related matters. This role ensures reliable performance of guest-facing and back-of-house systems, provides first-line support, coordinates technical activities, and assists colleagues across all departments. The role upholds technology standards in a Forbes 5-star luxury hospitality environment. Responsibilities
Systems & Technology
Act as the main point of contact for all on-site technology matters. Ensure smooth daily operation of core systems. Coordinate and follow through on technical requests, ensuring timely resolution. Support system updates and improvements with minimal disruption to operations. Maintain clear and organized records of systems and equipment.
Network & Connectivity
Oversee the performance and reliability of Wi-Fi and network access across the properties. Ensure secure and consistent connectivity in all guest and operational areas. Manage user access, including accounts and permissions. Uphold cybersecurity standards and respond promptly to any concerns.
Guest Experience
Deliver a seamless in-room and property-wide technology experience for guests. Support guest-facing systems, including Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and digital services. Respond to guest requests with efficiency, discretion, and 5-star service standards. Work closely with operational teams to resolve issues smoothly and promptly.
Colleague Support
Provide day-to-day IT support across all departments. Guide team members in the effective use of hotel systems and tools. Support onboarding of new employees from a technology perspective. Maintain a clear overview of recurring issues to continuously improve service.
Continuity & Coordination
Support business continuity processes to ensure operational resilience. Assist during system incidents, maintaining clear communication and calm coordination. Provide concise updates to management and support ongoing improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or degree in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience. 1–2 years’ experience in IT support or a similar role. Familiarity with hospitality systems such as Opera. Sound understanding of networking fundamentals. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Windows environments. Clear, professional communication and a strong service-oriented approach. Well organized, with attention to detail and a sense of ownership. Calm and solution-focused when handling day-to-day challenges. Experience in hospitality or a guest-facing environment is considered an advantage. Willingness to learn and grow within a luxury environment. Benefits
