IT TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST - EMEA

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in projects for the implementation and evolution of business systems (ERP, MIS, scheduling, data collection, etc.) across plants in Europe and Africa.
  • Standardize processes and configurations while identifying and addressing functionality gaps.
  • Analyze and review business requirements and client change requests, assess their nature (development request, defect, configuration error, etc.) and prioritize accordingly.
  • Provide the development team with comprehensive test cases for detected defects.
  • Conduct client training sessions to ensure effective system usage.
  • Perform support activities for business systems using ticketing systems.
  • Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives by analyzing and optimizing processes.
  • Contribute to the evolution of business systems through configuration, report development, and creation of interfaces to third‑party systems.
  • Offer technical input using development and database knowledge.
  • Test and release new patches.
  • Collaborate consistently with colleagues in globally distributed teams.

Skill & Experiences

  • Master’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the implementation and support of complex business systems such as ERP.
  • Strong experience with report development (Crystal Reports considered a plus).
  • Expert knowledge of SQL and ability to navigate, extract and import data to and from databases.
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries.
  • Problem‑solving mindset.
  • Client‑focused attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and structured manner.
  • Autonomous, rigorous and well‑organized.
  • Resilient under pressure.
  • Self‑motivated with strong initiative and ability to meet deadlines; flexible and adaptable.
  • Eager to learn and self‑train on new business areas within the label‑printing industry.
  • Ready to travel within Europe and Africa up to 20% of working time.

Optional but Desired

  • Experience with production management systems (scheduling, MRP, data collections, quality management, etc.) in a manufacturing environment.
  • EFI Radius.
  • Process notation (BPMN, flowchart).
  • Agile methodologies.
  • ServiceNow or another ticketing system.

The office will be in Lucca or Glasgow, with smart‑working arrangements to be agreed. Applications from more experienced candidates are also evaluated, and remuneration will be commensurate with actual experience.
