Position Title
IT Technical Governance Lead – S&EM Italy (based in Milan or Rome) Responsibilities
Technical Governance of Vendors:
Analyze and validate external partners’ technical solution proposals, ensuring designs are robust, scalable, and aligned with company standards. API & Integration Strategy Definition:
Design and document the company’s API strategy, interface contracts, security standards (e.g., OAuth2), and protocols for all internal and external systems. Architectural Review Board:
Act as the primary technical reviewer and approver for all new integrations and architectural changes proposed by teams. Tactical Development & Prototyping:
Develop and maintain glue code components (e.g., automation scripts, cloud functions, custom connectors) to facilitate integration and bridge gaps. Build PoCs and prototypes to validate new technical approaches. Cybersecurity Oversight:
Ensure all integration solutions comply with the company’s cybersecurity policies, collaborate with security teams to identify risks, enforce security-by-design principles, and protect data across systems. Qualifications
A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) Experience in managing external vendors and reviewing third‑party technical documentation Proven experience of 3+ years in an Integration Architect role Deep knowledge of microservices architecture, API gateways, enterprise integration patterns, and security protocols Strong communication skills to authoritatively engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Prior experience in the Energy & Utilities sector is a strong advantage Solid, recent hands‑on development skills (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, or C#) Hands‑on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and/or event‑driven systems (e.g., Kafka) Contract
