We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead IT Operations and Infrastructure initiatives, managing end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.

The role requires strong delivery governance, stakeholder management and transition‑to‑operations capabilities, ensuring that projects are executed effectively and smoothly handed over to Operations.

The candidate will operate in a consulting context, coordinating technical teams and vendors, and leveraging tools such as Atlassian Jira and ServiceNow to support project execution and service management processes for our financial credit customer.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects (on-prem, cloud, hybrid environments)
  • Define project plans , timelines and governance structures (planning, execution, monitoring, closure)
  • Coordinate internal technical teams and external vendors
  • Manage stakeholders at different organizational levels
  • Oversee change management , go‑live activities and transition to Operations
  • Ensure proper handover to support teams, including documentation and knowledge transfer
  • Monitor project progress , risks and issues , providing regular reporting
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, standards and governance frameworks

Milano – hybrid (1–2 days onsite)

Mandatory

  • Fluent Italian and English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills

Detailed Skill Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure domains (networks, servers, cloud platforms, hybrid architectures)
  • Solid stakeholder management skills in corporate environments
  • Experience in managing go‑live, transition and handover to Operations
  • Experience in project planning, governance and delivery tracking
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL
  • Experience with ticketing and workflow tools such as ServiceNow
  • Experience with Agile / hybrid delivery environments and tools such as Atlassian Jira
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, release management)
  • Experience in managing infrastructure changes and release processes
  • Ability to define and monitor KPIs and SLAs related to IT services
  • Experience in risk management, issue tracking and mitigation planning

Nice to have

  • PMP, ITIL or equivalent certifications are considered a strong plus
  • Proven experience in IT Operations and Service Management contexts
  • Continuous improvement of IT Operations and Service Management processes
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or similar)
