In particular, Cefriel has a dedicated working group focused on Smart Industry and Digital Manufacturing projects.
As part of its applied research and experimental development activities, Cefriel is developing ARCA, a Knowledge Management platform designed to support the organization, structuring, and enhancement of technical and project knowledge, based on cloud technologies and data‑driven approaches.
Internship Overview
The internship aims to involve an intern in the development and evolution of the cloud and AI components of the ARCA platform, with a particular focus on knowledge management, data integration, and application services. The intern will work closely with the solution development team and will be involved in the following activities: requirements and use‑case analysis related to knowledge management and information flows. design and development of cloud‑based back‑end components (AWS) for collecting, organizing, and accessing information. definition and implementation of APIs and application services for integration with existing systems and front‑end tools. data modeling and management of databases (relational and NoSQL) supporting the Knowledge Management platform. collaboration on testing, validation, and continuous improvement of the solution. The intern will also have the opportunity to interact with the research and development team and with industrial partners, taking part—when needed—in project meetings on site or remotely. A good command of the Italian language is therefore required. During the internship, particular emphasis will be placed on studying and using back‑end programming languages such as JavaScript and Node.js, managing relational (DBMS) and non‑relational (NoSQL) databases, and integrating with third‑party services. Required Skills

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, relational DBMS and NoSQL databases. Basic knowledge of REST APIs, client‑server architectures and distributed systems, and cloud microservices platforms. Familiarity (even at an introductory level) with relational and NoSQL databases. Use of code versioning tools (e.g., Git). Interest in developing cloud solutions and microservices architectures. Interest in Knowledge Management, data management, or digital platforms. Fluency in Italian. Contract Type
