Overview
Position Title: Junior Commissioning, Maintenance & Training Engineer – FEED & Bid Proposals
Department: Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance Engineering
Role Purpose: The role is intended for a junior / graduate engineer to be developed within the team responsible for the definition and development of Commissioning, Maintenance and Training engineering during FEED and Bid phases for Oil & Gas and Energy plants. The position is strongly FEED- and Bid-oriented, with the objective of supporting senior engineers in translating the Client Scope of Work, contractual assumptions and project requirements into structured Commissioning Execution engineering, forming the technical and cost baseline for Technical and commercial Proposals. The role contributes to the preparation of project-specific Commissioning Execution Plan, which are used as the reference for defining scope, execution strategies and for estimating Home Office and Site execution costs, in accordance with Company standards. The role requires active coordination with all project stakeholders to collect the necessary technical and commercial inputs and to provide structured commissioning-related information. The position also supports the preparation of a comprehensive Bid Report, including a detailed breakdown of scope, assumptions, organization, costs and durations, which will be formally issued to the Project Team and the Client in accordance with the agreed bid schedule and milestones.
Key Responsibilities
FEED & Bid Engineering Development
- Support the development of Commissioning, Maintenance and Training engineering during FEED and/or Bid phases.
- Perform structured reviews of Client documentation and Scope of Work, including:
- o ITT / RFQ documentation
- o Contractual and technical requirements
- o P&IDs, layouts, datasheets and engineering philosophies
- o Identify commissioning, maintenance and training requirements relevant to FEED and proposal development.
Commissioning Execution Engineering – Proposals
- Support the preparation of project-specific Commissioning Execution Plan during FEED and/or Bid phases.
- Contribute to the definition of:
- o Commissioning scope, boundaries and execution assumptions
- o Responsibilities matrix and interfaces
- o Mechanical Completion, walkdown and PSSR strategies
- o Commissioning, start-up and handover sequences
- Ensure alignment between execution strategies and Client requirements.
Technical Proposals & Cost Estimation Support
- Support the preparation of Technical Proposals related to Commissioning, Maintenance and Training scope.
- Apply Company standards, tools and methodologies to support the definition of a complete technical and cost baseline, including:
- o Definition of execution scope, assumptions and execution strategy
- o Estimation of Home Office engineering man-hours
- o Estimation of Site execution man-hours and related execution costs
- o Development of preliminary commissioning organization charts, aligned with the Scope of Work and execution strategy
- o Support in assessing the need for Vendor and Licensor support during commissioning and start-up activities
- o Contribution to the definition of activity durations and execution sequences for commissioning and start-up phases
