Contract: CCNL Metalmeccanici Industria, full‑time, entry level
Reporting line: You will report to the EU Manufacturing Engineering Lead , and work closely with Production Planning, Quality, Purchasing and R&D on a daily basis.
Are you a recent engineering graduate who wants to see your work come to life on the shopfloor, not just in PowerPoint? This role is for you.
We are looking for a Junior Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join our Manufacturing Engineering Office and support senior engineers in New Product Introduction (NPI) , first industrial prototypes , and continuous improvement across the plant.
You can think of this as a hands‑on, entry‑level industrialization PMO role: you help coordinate data, dates, and documentation, then work with the shopfloor to make new products real.
What you’ll do
- Support NPI and prototype builds end to end, from R&D handover to first serial ramp, keeping the master plan, risks, and actions up to date.
- Coordinate the R&D‑to‑Operations handover: collect drawings and specs, verify routings, work centers and tooling lists, and ensure product configuration is clear for production.
- Supervise Bill of Materials readiness in ERP (D365).
- Make sure work orders for prototypes and pilot builds are created, released, and sequenced on time, tracking lead times and raising constraints with Planning, Purchasing, and Production.
- Prepare build books and standard work for pilots and first‑offs, capture deviations and lessons learned, and feed them back into updates.
- Track capex and supplier deliverables for equipment, jigs, fixtures and gauges, including FAT/SAT dates and documentation.
- Keep the register of improvement projects for the area, with KPIs, owners, and due dates.
- Maintain clean data: routings, cycle times, scrap codes, tooling life, and ECN status.
- Be present on the shopfloor, working day‑to‑day with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and HSE to troubleshoot and improve.
What you bring
- Recent degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics or Manufacturing Engineering ,
- or a technical high school diploma with a strong hands‑on attitude.
- You are organized, detail‑driven, and a proactive communicator in Italian and English .
- You are willing to spend time on the shopfloor, close to the processes and the people, not only at a desk.
Nice to have
- Basics of Lean , 5S , VSM , and problem solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC). A Yellow Belt is a plus.
- Familiarity with FMEA / APQP / PPAP , and exposure to time study or MTM .
- Basic understanding of machining, assembly and manufacturing processes .
- Ability to read CAD drawings , BoMs and routings.
- Exposure to PLM/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Teamcenter, Windchill) and solid Excel skills.
- Basic Power BI or Python for simple data analyses.
