Laboratory Materials Engineer

In This Role

You will be a Laboratory Materials Engineer with expertise in polymer chemistry , microscopy , and analytical data interpretation . The successful candidate will support the characterization, development, and optimization of thermoplastic and thermosetting compounds used in energy and telecom cable technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced polymer morphological characterization to identify dispersion and distribution of polymeric and inorganic phases.
• Correlate polymer structure with chemical-physical, rheological, and electrical properties of compounds.
• Conduct comparative analyses to support material development, troubleshooting, and product optimization.
• Analyze, interpret, and model complex multi-technique datasets.
• Generate clear technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for R&D and engineering teams.
• Actively support development of optimized material formulations and manufacturing processes for cable products.

You Are The Right Fit If You Have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or related field
• Up to 4/5 years of experience in polymer materials characterization and microscopy
• Knowledge of thermoplastics, thermosets, polymer blends, and fillers
• Experience with extrusion or injection molding processes is a nice to have
• Strong understanding of polymer physics, chemistry, and structure–property relationships
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Decision making attitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset
