Our Client is an international company who aims to become a leading energy transition player focused on developing, acquiring and operating biomethane plants. Thank to massive investment and long term view, We are now growing the Italian team, after several acquisition of Biomethan Plants.
To boost and grow the supply chain and operations Team, We are looking for a Land and Feedstock Manager - Responsible for securing strategic contracts for the supply of organic raw materials (feedstock) and closing agreements with agricultural landowners for the use of land for digestate spreading. This position is key to ensuring the operational feasibility of feedstock supply and digestate management from a contractual, territorial, and regulatory perspective
Among the main functions of the role are:
- Negotiate and formalize feedstock supply contracts with agricultural and industrial providers.
- Identify available land and close agreements with landowners or cooperatives for digestate spreading.
- Analyze the legal and agronomic feasibility of potential lands in collaboration with internal technical teams.
- Ensure contractual availability of the required hectares per plant.
- Maintain trustworthy relationships with agricultural and livestock stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal technical and legal teams to ensure that each contract meets operational and regulatory requirements.
Candidate Profile:
- Higher education in Agronomic Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Agribusiness or related fields.
- Experience in contract negotiation in rural or energy contexts.
- Knowledge of the Italian agricultural sector and the regulatory framework for digestate and organic waste.
- Results-oriented profile with strong communication skills in rural environments.
- Willingness and availability for field visits and in-person negotiations.
- Previous experience in biogas, biomethane or circular economy projects is a plus.
Position Objectives:
- Ensure timely execution of feedstock and land use contracts.
- Guarantee the legal, environmental, and territorial feasibility of the supply.
- Minimize legal and contractual risks in operations.
- Position the company as a reliable partner for farmers and suppliers.
- Contribute to the design of an optimal feedstock mix for each plant.
Success Indicators:
- % of feedstock contracts signed vs annual target.
- Hectares secured per plant for digestate.
- Average contract closing time per supplier/land.
- Number of long-term active relationships with agricultural stakeholders.
- Zero legal or contractual incidents due to lack of territorial coverage.
Location – North of Italy, Hybrid (Verona, Brescia, Milan)
