We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Principal Application Engineer specializing in PCB Design to join our team. This role is integral to supporting our cutting-edge PCB Solutions within the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) domain. You will collaborate with top-tier customers, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions to enable the design of advanced printed circuit boards for electronic systems.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Principal Application Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Pre-and post sales support: Conducting technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of our PCB solutions.
- Collaborating with the sales team to develop strategies for new prospects and recommending optimal technical solutions.
- Delivering training, knowledge transfer, and services to customers.
- Providing technical expertise during workshops and offering ongoing technical support to European customers.
- Investigating customer issues, identifying workarounds, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Sharing customer feedback and suggestions with the R&D team to drive product improvements.
- Participating in team projects and contributing to the overall success of the engineering team.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of professional experience in the PCB design domain.
- Hands-on experience with electronic software for board design is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of PCB tools and PCB Design Conception Flows.
- Familiarity with schematic entry and PCB design is an advantage.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as TCL is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Italian and English.
- Ability to work effectively in a multinational engineering environment and communicate with internal teams and external customers.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits as needed.
- Strong team spirit and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
