Overview

Lead Infrastructure Solution Architect – responsible for designing and implementing IIoT connectivity solutions, ensuring compliance with Baker Hughes policies and customer data requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting / Leading discussions with iCenter™ customers during the OTR phases to match project goals.
  • Leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and established approaches and methods.
  • Developing cross‑technology solutions.
  • Working on cross‑functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business, as well as with other business departments to align project goals.
  • Driving implementation of iCenter™ IIoT solutions for data gathering and connectivity.
  • Following / executing customer premises IIoT solution installation activities, including site missions.

Qualifications

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM major with relevant professional experience.
  • Understand standard concepts of setting and driving OT architecture (control network).
  • Have knowledge of control system devices and their functionality, e.g., PLC, HMI, SCADA systems.
  • Have knowledge of the most common communication protocols, proprietary/open, e.g., PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Ethernet IP, MODBUS RTU/TCP, OPC DA/UA.
  • Have knowledge of common control system PLCs: Siemens S7, Rockwell Allen‑Bradley, PACSystems (GE, Emerson), Woodward, GE Vernova Control ST.
  • Have knowledge of industrial connectivity platforms such as Proficy IGS or KepServerEx.
  • Have knowledge of data historian software commonly used in OT infrastructures, including but not limited to: Proficy Historian, AVEVA PI (OSIsoft).
  • Have knowledge of MS Windows OS and the most common Linux distributions, as well as endpoint protection software, e.g., Symantec Endpoint Protection, Trellix/McAfee Enterprise.
