About The Role

As a Lead Supplier Performance Engineer – NSSS Major Components, you will provide technical leadership and execution oversight across complex, regulated procurements. You will lead Supplier Performance Engineers (SPEs), ensuring alignment with project quality, schedule, and cost objectives.

You will report to the Manager, APx Supply Chain – Nuclear Steam Supply Systems (NSSS) and be located in Monfalcone, Italy. This is a full‑time hybrid position, requiring up to 3 days per week onsite and international travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate, and prioritize the activities of assigned Supplier Performance Engineers (SPEs) across multiple suppliers, components, and projects
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for supplier performance issues, quality events, delivery risks, and complex nonconformances
  • Ensure consistent application of supplier performance expectations, technical rigor, and oversight practices across the SPE team
  • Drive development and execution of supplier performance strategies, including risk mitigation actions, recovery plans, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Enforce compliance with ASME Section III, applicable regulatory requirements, and company quality standards through review and approval of escalated supplier documentation
  • Lead resolution of complex technical and quality issues, balancing safety, quality, schedule, and cost considerations
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and scorecards to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Provide communication to leadership on supplier status, risks, mitigation plans, and resource needs
  • Support onboarding, mentoring, and development of SPEs to strengthen technical capability and execution consistency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of related experience in highly regulated industries; nuclear experience preferred
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing supplier performance
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear or regulated quality programs (e.g., NQA-1, ASME Section III, 10 CFR)
  • Willingness to travel internationally
