Learning & Development Specialist (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for a motivated Learning & Development Specialist to join the pre-opening team of the Hyatt Regency Rome Central.

The role will report to the Director of Human Resources and will support the Learning & Development function, ensuring continuity of training activities during a maternity leave.

Conveniently located adjacent to Rome Termini Station and a short distance from the Colosseum, the 238-room Hyatt Regency Rome Central is a newly renovated contemporary 5-star hotel offering premium business services and one of Italy’s most dazzling leisure rooftop experiences.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of training programs for all levels of staff, focusing on service excellence and operational effectiveness
• Assist in the development of onboarding and ongoing training content
• Coordinate and deliver onboarding sessions for new hires, ensuring alignment with company values and standards
• Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and support execution of training plans
• Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions
• Coordinate external trainers when required
• Monitor training activities and collect feedback to ensure effective delivery
• Support the creation of individual development plans based on performance and business needs
• Provide day-to-day support to employees on learning initiatives
• Track training participation and support reporting activities
• Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures
• Support quality checks and continuous improvement initiatives across departments
• Contribute to the integration of ESG principles into learning activities

Skills and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in Learning & Development or HR
• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Fluent in Italian and English, both spoken and written
