We are looking for a
Legal
Regional Counsel
to act as a trusted legal partner for our EMEA operations. The Regional Counsel will serve as the primary legal advisor for the company’s EMEA operations, acting as a trusted partner to business leaders and providing end‑to‑end legal support across a wide range of commercial, corporate, compliance, and operational matters. This is a highly autonomous role, requiring strong business acumen, versatility, and the ability to balance risk management with enabling growth. Commercial Contracts / Operations
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of agreements including sales, procurement, distribution, licensing, services, and technology contracts. Provide pragmatic advice on contract risks and business implications. Support local bidding requests. Corporate Governance
Support corporate secretarial matters, including board resolutions, filings, and maintenance of legal entities across EMEA. Advise on corporate structuring, reorganizations, and cross‑border transactions as required. Compliance & Regulatory
Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations across EMEA, including competition law, data protection (GDPR), employment law, and industry‑specific regulations. Develop and implement local compliance policies, training, and monitoring programs. Employment & HR Support
Advise HR on employment contracts, policies, terminations, and employee relations issues. Support internal investigations and disciplinary processes. Manage disputes, claims, and litigation, coordinating with external counsel where necessary. Provide strategic guidance on risk mitigation and settlement options. Strategic Business Partnering
Act as a proactive advisor to senior management and operational teams, embedding legal considerations into business decision‑making. Support M&A, joint ventures, and strategic projects in the region as instructed. External Counsel Management
Select, instruct, and manage external law firms efficiently, ensuring cost‑effective and high‑quality service delivery. Required Education, Experience & Skills
Qualified lawyer with admission to practice in an EMEA jurisdiction. 8+ years of post‑qualification experience, ideally gained in both private practice and in‑house roles. Broad exposure to commercial, corporate, compliance, and employment law matters. Strong knowledge of EMEA regulatory frameworks, including GDPR. Proven ability to operate independently and manage diverse legal issues simultaneously. Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills. Business‑oriented mindset with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial objectives. Fluency in English required; additional EMEA languages a plus. Personal Attributes
Self‑starter with high levels of initiative and accountability. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels. Pragmatic, solution‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment. Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure. The position offers a permanent employment contract under the Italian National Collective Agreement (CCNL Terziario Distribuzione e Servizi). The gross annual base salary ranges from €80,000 to €100,000 at Quadro level, in addition to a variable bonus.
