Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Local IT Support employee to join our IT team in Italy (Ivrea). The successful candidate will play a key role in providing technical support and assistance to local IT users, local IT systems and ensuring smooth communication and collaboration with the Local IT coordinator, the central IT organization and external IT service providers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide first-level support to local IT users, resolving day-to-day issues related to hardware, software, network, and selected applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain local IT equipment, such as computers, printers, scanners, phones, etc.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot local IT systems, such as servers, network devices, backup systems, etc.
  • Support the Local IT coordinator in ensuring compliance with IT policies, standards, and procedures which are primarily provided from the central IT department.
  • Document and report IT incidents, requests, and changes.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved IT issues to the central IT organization or external IT service providers.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Local IT Coordinator, the central IT organization and external IT service providers on IT projects, initiatives, and service delivery.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve IT services and user satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on the latest IT trends and technologies.
  • Conduct training for local users (as required)
  • Other (local) duties as assigned


Qualifications and experience

Mandatory requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree (or comparable qualification) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) as an IT support technician or specialist, better if within the automotive or (discrete) manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, and network technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Fluent Italian and English is a must.


Beneficial experience and qualifications

  • Certifications or training in IT support, ITIL, or other relevant areas.
  • Experience in working with global or regional IT teams and service providers.
