M&A Analyst (Rome, Italy)

A leading, privately backed renewable energy platform is seeking an M&A Analyst to support transaction execution and strategic growth initiatives across Italy and wider European markets.

The business operates across renewable energy and storage and is supported by long‑term, ESG‑focused institutional capital. With an active and growing pipeline of projects, this is an opportunity to join at an exciting stage of expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Support execution of M&A transactions including acquisitions, JVs, and divestments
• Build and maintain financial models to assess investment opportunities
• Conduct market and industry analysis within the renewable energy space
• Prepare investment materials (IC memos, presentations, reports)
• Support due diligence processes alongside internal teams and external advisors
• Review financials, contracts, and key documentation to identify risks/opportunities
• Maintain deal pipeline and transaction tracking

Requirements

• 2–4 years’ experience in M&A, corporate finance, or similar
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
• Solid understanding of due diligence processes
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related
• Advanced Excel & PowerPoint
• Exposure to renewable energy is advantageous
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and team‑focused
