The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, culturally aware Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the charge in telling our story to the world. This is a hybrid role that blends strategic marketing execution, content creation, brand storytelling, and external communications. You’ll be at the center of our events, platform launches, client-facing communication, and startup partnerships—helping build Retail Hub into the most recognizable voice in retail innovation.
We’re not looking for someone to wait for a brief. We need someone agile, proactive, and excited to roll up their sleeves, whether that’s refining a brand deck, organizing a press moment, or jumping in to support an event with a last-minute opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand & Communication Strategy
- Own and execute the overarching brand and comms plan across channels (email, social, web, PR)
- Ensure consistency in voice and tone across all Retail Hub verticals
- Manage content calendars for internal initiatives and external campaigns
2. Content & Thought Leadership
- Write and edit compelling content:
newsletters, social copy, event materials, founder memos, and thought pieces - Partner with design team or freelancers to bring campaign and brand ideas to life visually
- Draft internal and external comms for major announcements (events, partnerships, press, platform updates)
3. Event Marketing
- Build comms and marketing assets for major events like House of Innovation at NRF Europe, Retail Innovation Tours, and global summits
- Coordinate speaker comms, event invitations, guest comms, and partner toolkits
- Liaise with sales and partnerships teams to align messaging and drive attendance
4. Platform & Product Comms
- Support product launches and partner onboarding with branded materials and content
- Develop case studies, client decks, and startup success stories from the platform
- Create onboarding and welcome materials for new clients, users, and collaborators
5. Digital & Social
- Manage or collaborate on LinkedIn and email strategy to grow awareness and engagement
- Track content performance and adapt strategy accordingly
- Coordinate with external agencies or freelancers as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing and editing skills in Italian and proficient in English
- Experience with B2B marketing, especially in tech, innovation, or startup ecosystems
- A sharp eye for cultural trends and a flair for storytelling
- Self-starter with a hands-on mindset—comfortable wearing many hats and stepping in where needed
- Ability to work across teams, juggle priorities, and thrive in a fast-growth environment
- Experience supporting or marketing live events is a big plus
- Demonstrated experience in setting up automated workflows across marketing and communication channels (email, CRM, content scheduling, reporting, etc.)
- Passion for the future of retail, emerging tech, or brand innovation
Bonus if you…
- Have worked at or with startups, venture studios, accelerators, or platforms
- Are familiar with tools like Notion, HubSpot, Figma, Canva, Substack, and Mailchimp or Brevo
- Can build light creative assets yourself and write with punch
