Who We Are:
We are a renowned hospitality group managing two prestigious 4-star hotels in the heart of Florence. Our first hotel, opened in 2017, has built a solid reputation for service excellence and outstanding guest satisfaction. We are now preparing to open our second property, which will feature a brand-new, high-end SPA set to become a benchmark for wellness in Florence’s historic center.
To lead this exciting launch and ensure the highest standards from day one, we are looking for a dynamic and skilled professional to join our team as a Massage Therapist .
Role Objective:
As part of the SPA team, the Massage Therapist will be responsible for the professional execution of manual treatments and massages (relaxing, draining, deep tissue, etc.), with the aim of offering guests a personalized, deep, and effective wellness experience. The role actively contributes to creating a welcoming and harmonious atmosphere in line with the identity of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform treatments and massages according to company protocols and high-quality standards.
- Listen to clients’ needs and personalize treatments accordingly.
- Manage treatment rooms, personal uniform, and equipment with constant care and cleanliness.
- Actively collaborate with the SPA team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Promote treatments and products used, offering professional advice.
- Maintain polite and respectful communication with guests and staff.
- Report to the SPA Coordinator and Senior Beauty Therapist for optimal department management and organization.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Recognized qualification as a Massage Therapist or Wellness Practitioner (certificate from an accredited school or equivalent qualification).
- At least 1 year of experience in the role, gained in wellness centers, SPAs, or wellness hotels.
- Knowledge of main massage protocols (Swedish, relaxing, deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and health regulations in the wellness sector.
Languages:
- English level B1 or higher – essential for professional communication with international clients.
- A second language is considered a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Excellent manual skills and mastery of massage techniques.
- Ability to assess client needs and adapt techniques effectively.
- Basic knowledge of cosmetic products and active ingredients used.
- Familiarity with digital tools (e.g., booking systems, client check-in software).
Soft Skills:
- Empathy and attentive listening.
- Reliability and time management.
- Flexibility with working hours, including availability on weekends and holidays.
