Materials Buyer - Electrical & Instrumentation

The Materials Buyer is responsible of purchasing activities of assigned Purchase Requisitions in compliance with Corporate and Project Procedures and under the supervision of the Purchasing Group Leader.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

· preparation of bidder lists;

· commercial tabulation of suppliers offers

· economic and contractual (T&Cs) negotiation of orders and associated purchasing terms and conditions

· issue of Purchase Orders and any revision

· support and cooperate with the Project Procurement Manager / Coordinator during the development of the supplies in case of any commercial problem with Vendors (such as claims, change order request, Liquidated Damages discussion, etc.)

Requirements:

· diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or in a relevant technical discipline;

· 5-10 years’ experience within an engineering company or in an electrical-related industrial environment;

· prior experience in electrical procurement, engineering, proposal or design departments will be considered xdwybme a strong asset;

· solid knowledge of electrical materials and equipment, applicable international standards, and main electrical Vendors;

· proficiency in SAP for purchasing and supplies management;

· full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken;

· availability to travel for short periods in Italy and abroad.
