Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer

We are looking for an experienced mechanical and mechanism designer to join Revolv Space as a Mechanical Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of relevant experience and be versatile in designing and analyzing complex mechanical and electromechanical systems.
Your responsibilities include developing and prototyping space mechanisms and related ground equipment . You will work closely with the Head of Mechanical Systems, gaining insight into the operations of a fast-growing startup. Your contributions will directly influence the space systems we develop.

Location: Turin, Italy
Your mission
- Design and prototype mechanical and electromechanical systems (spacecraft mechanisms, robotic systems, structures, ground support equipment);
- Analyze and validate designs via structural and thermal FEA and testing;
- Create design documentation, including 2D mechanical drawings;
- Participate in assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of prototypes.
Qualifications
- Background in mechanical, structural, aerospace engineering, or similar;
- 4+ years experience in autonomous design of mechanical systems ;
- Proficiency with CAD systems (Autodesk Inventor);
- Ability to conduct or oversee FEA (knowledge of ANSYS is a plus);
- Strong understanding of physics related to space engineering (structural mechanics, vibration, heat transfer );
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written);
- Ability to work independently;
- Team-oriented mindset;
- Legal authorization to work in Italy.
Nice to have
- Experience in space systems AIT/prototyping;
- Knowledge of space industry standards for design, assembly, integration, and testing.
