ABOUT THE ROLE – Mechanical & Machinery Engineer
We are looking for a Mechanical & Machinery Engineer with at least 5 years of proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Reporting to the Jacket Engineering Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and supporting the design, selection, and specification of mechanical equipment and rotating/static machinery for offshore wellhead platforms, ensuring compliance with project requirements, international standards, and operational reliability.

Main Responsibilities:
Design & Engineering
• Review mechanical and machinery engineering deliverables for wellhead platform systems, including:
- Chemical injection and utility water pumps
- Compressors (where applicable)
- Diesel or gas-driven engines
- Pressure vessels, tanks, and filters
- HVAC and utility systems (cooling water, air systems)
• Review technical datasheets, specifications, and material requisitions for mechanical packages.
• Verify equipment sizing calculations, capacity checks, and interface alignment.
• Ensure design integration and alignment with Process, Piping, Structural, and Instrumentation disciplines.
Equipment Specification & Procurement Support
• Review vendor quotations and perform Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).
• Support Procurement and Package Engineers in preparing purchase orders and Vendor Document Requirement Lists (VDRL).
• Participate in design reviews and ensure vendor compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards (API, ASME, etc.).
Project Coordination & Reviews
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, 3D model reviews, and constructability assessments.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines to ensure seamless integration of equipment packages.
• Manage Technical Queries (TQs), deviations, and Client comments related to the mechanical discipline.
Documentation & Reporting
• Review and maintain mechanical engineering deliverables, including:
- Equipment Lists
- Mechanical Datasheets
- General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
- Installation Drawings
- Lifting and Access Requirement Documents
• Support the preparation of engineering progress reports and discipline status trackers.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience after obtaining the degree.
• Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment design, specification, and selection.
• Experience with offshore equipment specifications and design requirements for marine environments.
• Proficiency in mechanical engineering software and tools, including:
- Compress
- PV Elite
- AutoCAD
- Caesar II (for interface coordination purposes)
• Solid understanding of international standards and codes, including:
- API 610, 617, 618
- ASME Section VIII
- NACE MR0175
- ISO 13703
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English, with demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports and engineering documentation.
