VIDELIO HMS is looking for a highly qualified/motivated profile with solid training in mechanical engineering and preferably experience in the naval/theatrical sector (mechanical movements) for stable inclusion in its staff (dynamic and stimulating working environment, with professional growth opportunities).

Work location is either in Monfalcone (GO) or Genova (GE), with travel in Italy/abroad (shipyards/operational cruise ships).


Main Responsibilities

·      Develop projects (components and complex mechanical systems) starting from the feasibility verification phase, with preparation of detailed construction drawings, definition of technical/functional characteristics, creation of related bill of materials and all necessary technical documentation.

·      Perform technical analysis and structural calculations to support the design.

·      Collaborate with other company departments to ensure system integration and the achievement of all project objectives at the technical level.

·      Assist the Business Team with technical consulting and support during bidding phases.

·      Provide technical assistance to the company's Purchasing Department for the definition of purchase specifications.

·      Monitor the progress of the production of the project and intervene to make any improvements/changes.

·      Conduct tests and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards.

·      Solve technical issues and provide innovative solutions.

·      Supervise the production and installation of mechanical systems (on-site operational phases).

·      Support the maintenance of mechanical systems.


Required skills:

·      Solid technical-mechanical training and education (Mechanical Engineering or equivalent study path).

·      Ability to perform feasibility analysis of technical requests (analysis of RFQ, RFI and Tender Specifications).

·      In-depth knowledge of mechanical drawing (3D CAD preferably with SolidWorks and 2D CAD with AutoCAD).

·      Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.

·      Experience in defining a project plan, assigning and coordinating the necessary resources to complete the projects within the agreed times and budget.

·      Experience in defining the functional and technical characteristics of the project, components, materials, manufacturing technologies, and regulatory specifications governing the relevant sector.

·      Ability to manage priorities, good communication skills, and a predisposition to teamwork.

·      Ability to establish partnerships with customers to understand their needs/intellectual property, etc.

·      Good written and spoken English knowledge.

Willingness to travel for work in Italy and abroad


"Nice to have" skills:

·      Experience in designing innovative mechanical solutions.

·      Skills in the electrical and automation/control field.

·      Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in companies specialized in the construction of machinery and lifting systems in the theatrical/naval production sector.

·      Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

·      High degree of organization, detail-oriented, and multitasking work capability.
