Mechanical Site Engineer

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Mechanical Site Engineer to join a dynamic renewables team working on utility-scale projects across Italy. This is a key hands-on role within the construction and delivery phase of clean energy infrastructure — ideal for an engineer with a proactive mindset and a passion for sustainable energy.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct initial site surveys and pre-condition assessments.
• Support initial site setup in collaboration with HSE site engineers.
• Work closely with the project manager, construction manager, and wider site team to ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervise subcontractors, monitor progress and ensure alignment with project schedules.
• Escalate any deviations from scope or programme of works.
• Assist in budgeting for mechanical works and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
• Provide ongoing technical support throughout the construction process.

What You’ll Bring

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally in the renewable energy sector.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and civil construction drawings.
• Fluency in both English and Italian is essential.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
