A small pharmaceutical company in Northern Italy is seeking a Medical Affairs Manager to join its growing medical team. This role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the development and implementation of medical strategies across various therapeutic areas.

Job Description

The Medical Affairs Manager will play a key role in guiding medical strategy, scientific communication, and clinical support within the organization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring medical and scientific accuracy in all communications, contributing to product development, and providing insights into clinical practices and patient needs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Medical Strategy Development : Lead the development of medical strategies and initiatives to support the company’s products across various therapeutic areas.
  • Scientific Communication : Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scientifically accurate information to internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers and regulatory bodies.
  • Clinical Expertise : Offer medical insights to support product development, marketing, and sales teams. Collaborate with R&D to align on clinical trial needs and evidence generation.
  • KOL Engagement : Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other relevant stakeholders in the medical community.
  • Medical Review : Conduct medical review of promotional materials, ensuring they are compliant and scientifically sound.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with regulatory, commercial, and pharmacovigilance teams to ensure alignment of medical affairs strategies.
  • Training & Development : Provide training for internal teams on medical and scientific information related to the company’s products and therapeutic areas.

Requirements :

  • Medical Degree (MD) – essential.
  • Therapeutic Area Flexibility : Experience in any therapeutic area is acceptable; adaptability to work across multiple therapeutic areas is valued.
  • Office-Based Requirement : Must be able to work on-site in the Veneto region at least 4 days a week (generous relocation package offered)!
  • Experience : 1-2 years in a medical affairs role within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Skills : Strong communication, presentation, and scientific writing skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Language : Fluency in Italian and English is required.
