MEP Lead – Data Centre Projects | Europe

JDL Recruitment are partnering with a leading hyperscale data centre delivery organisation to appoint an MEP Lead to support the delivery of large-scale mission-critical infrastructure projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business delivering some of Europe’s most complex data centre projects. The successful candidate will take ownership of MEP delivery, working alongside senior project leadership, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure the successful execution of critical infrastructure programmes.

The role

Lead the MEP delivery strategy across major data centre projects, ensuring mechanical and electrical systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will provide technical leadership, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and drive successful project outcomes from design through to completion.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and manage MEP delivery across large-scale data centre construction projects.

• Oversee mechanical and electrical subcontractors, ensuring quality, programme, and commercial objectives are achieved.

• Coordinate closely with CSA, engineering, construction, and commissioning teams.

• Review and challenge technical designs, specifications, and project documentation.

• Support project planning, risk management, and issue resolution throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and industry standards.

• Drive collaboration between consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.

• Provide technical guidance and reporting to senior project leadership.

What we're looking for

• Significant experience delivering MEP packages within data centres, mission-critical facilities, or other complex infrastructure projects.

• Strong background in mechanical and electrical systems within large-scale construction environments.

• Experience managing MEP contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Proven ability to deliver projects within demanding programmes and high-quality standards.

• Strong understanding of design coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning processes.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience working on hyperscale data centre projects is highly desirable.
