You will be supporting the development of our customers’ vision, accelerate customers’ time to value, and drive a multitude of customer adoption scenarios - from building new solutions to modernizing legacy applications or migrating to cloud. Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with other SQL and or NoSQL database technologies (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MariaDB/MySQL, etc.) is preferred.
• Should you have MongoDB Experience, exposure to the following:
• Understanding of manual builds/management of MongoDB.
• Understanding of Ops Manager automation builds/management
• Experience with design/implementation of MongoDB replica sets and shared clusters.
• Understanding and experience with backup and archiving processes
• Experience with database performance, scaling, and tuning concepts.
• Comfortable working with Linux scripts
• Experience advising customers on how to build optimal document models
• Comfortable working with AWS
• Should you have RDMS experience, exposure to the following
• Experience trouble shooting and performance tuning
• Experience with DB indexing strategies
• Knowledge of and hands on experience designing RDBMS models
• Experience in implementing backup and archiving
• Exposure and familiarity with MPP scale out in an RDMS environment inclusive of data distribution strategies for scaled out nodes
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working across multiple teams both within a division and enterprise-wide.
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving, facilitation, and prioritization skills.
• Strong technical acumen, able to ensure that technical solutions, strategies, practices, and governance deliver business and customer value.
• Development experience with one or more modern scripting/automation languages (Ansible, Python, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Build/Configure Mongo replication and sharding.

• Implement appropriate indexes for performance improvement.

• Perform fine-tune configurations on MongoDB and servers for performance improvement.

• Implement optimal backup and recovery.

• Understand and optimize query performance.

• Create and publish database health checks to monitoring systems to identify slow queries; replication lags; node failures; index usage patterns; CPU usage; memory usage; locks; number of connections and any other relevant parameters.

• Evaluate, plan, and perform the DB upgrades.

• Maintenance during release/outage etc.
