Monitoring and Diagnostics Engineer

This mission is assigned to Ansaldo Green Tech – a Company focused on the energy transition business, incorporated in 2021 and fully owned by Ansaldo Energia, which has inherited from Ansaldo Energia specific know‑how and capabilities.

Position

Manage the development and implementation of diagnostic system projects, as well as provide analysis and technical support for diagnostic and control systems of operational water electrolyzing plants.

Main responsibilities:

• Coordinate developments, design architectural solutions and perform maintenance in monitoring & diagnostic systems.
• Troubleshoot and upgrade systems hardware (Main servers, DAQ systems, I/O cards and networks), resolve data acquisition and network communication issues either from headquarters of through follow up on site.
• Support the troubleshooting of running electrolyzer control and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems on site.
• Create and provide project specific technical input for project execution

Requirements

• Bachelor/Master's Degree in Telecommunication or Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of principles and methods used in data acquisition and IOT area
• Knowledge of principles of automation control system language of the in main control systems suppliers on the market (e.g. ABB, Beckhoff, Siemens)
• Knowledge of Python programming
• Matlab/Simulink preferred
• Knowledge of OSISoft suite – preferred
• Able to analyze information, draw conclusion and take action to resolve IOT acquisition issues
• Instrumentation basic knowledge
