Bottero, a top market player in the machinery for glass manufacturing industry, is looking to hire talented professionals for its new startup branch in the Province of Trento, Italy. The new company aims to develop solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to automate the industrial hollow glass forming process. Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in the hot end area of a glass plant, with expertise in production and forming engineering.
• Open attitude towards multiple engineering disciplines, including software, mechanics, and electronics.

Responsibilities

• Customer Relationships: Manage technical communication with customers, organize and follow up on plant tests, and document field tests to facilitate improvements.
• Research & Development: Support defining product specifications from a Forming Engineering perspective, translate glass production needs into process automation requirements, support validation of new products in the field, take product ownership, participate in agile practices as the “voice of the customer,” and coordinate with sales & marketing to align goals and priorities.
• Management: Report to management and participate in periodic technical steering committees.

• Fluent in English, which will be the official language of the company.
• Team player with a collaborative attitude and the ability to support colleagues beyond their own skill set.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively even if a team member is absent.
• Result-oriented with quick actions to stabilize software in plant environments.
• Proactive contributor, willing to share and justify ideas and proposals.
• Open to implementing solutions developed by others.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
