Job Title
Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL), MA – Italy
Location and Working Environment
- This position is field based in Italy, with approximately 80% travel within the assigned territory, with frequent overnight stays required.
- Type of role: full‑time permanent.
- Location: Italy office (Milan).
- Hybrid working solution is available in accordance with Astellas’ Responsible Flexibility Guidelines.
Purpose & Scope
- Act as a trusted advisor for scientific exchange with Key External Experts (KEEs) and stakeholders throughout the product life cycle.
- Gather field‑based data that generates meaningful medical insights.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, both within and outside of Medical Affairs.
- Execute tactical field plans for engaging with the medical and scientific community for a given product.
Role And Responsibilities
- Engage in scientific exchange by sharing knowledge on products, diseases, and therapeutic areas to support the safe and effective use of Astellas products.
- Discuss evolving trends.
- Interact with external stakeholders in one‑on‑one and group settings, demonstrating strong scientific and clinical expertise and an understanding of their needs.
- Maintain up‑to‑date medical and scientific knowledge to enable credible, peer‑to‑peer scientific exchange.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Support Medical Education activities and proactively identify future stakeholders (e.g., KEEs, nurses, pharmacists) in alignment with the local healthcare system.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a health‑related science or equivalent.
- Scientific exchange excellence.
- Medical insight generation.
- Interpersonal relationship skills.
- Learning agility.
- Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- MD, PhD, PharmD.
