On its behalf, we are seeking an experienced
MSL Manager
to lead the national
Medical Science Liaison team
in the
Oncology-Hematology
area. The selected candidate will also be directly responsible for the strategic and scientific field management of a
key product under launch.
Main Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Inspire and engage the MSL team while fostering a high-performance culture; act as a role model of scientific excellence and compliance; promote continuous improvement and ethical behavior.
- Product Leadership – New Product: Own the strategic field execution and scientific positioning of the new drug; gather and communicate medical insights linked to the drug; ensure compliant and effective cross-functional collaboration for launch.
- Team Management & Territory Planning: Ensure all MSL plans align with the local medical strategy; contribute to planning and execution of scientific field activities.
- Objectives & Metrics: Set and monitor individual goals; ensure CRM use and field analytics discipline; track team performance vs global standards.
- Follow-up & Execution: Monitor execution of strategy and team progress; approve reports and expenses; guarantee full regulatory compliance.
- Coaching & Performance: Conduct field coaching and regular 1:1 feedback; elevate scientific standards through direct mentorship.
- Training & Development: Recruit, train, and retain MSL talent; address training needs and ensure upskilling; provide continuous scientific updates with medical team support; use the IMPACT model for coaching and development; oversee compliance and skills training.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Market Access, and other commercial teams; manage internal communication of field insights; maintain compliance in all external and internal interactions.
- Medical Affairs Strategy: Work closely with Medical Affairs teams (local/global); supervise MSL support to company-sponsored studies; detect and share opportunities and threats in the medical landscape; build and maintain strong relationships with TLs; oversee ISS proposals and their follow-up.
Requirements:
- Education: Scientific degree (ideally MSc, PhD, MD, Pharm D).
- Experience: Min. 5 years as an MSL with proven success; consolidated people management experience strongly preferred; experience with TL engagement and scientific presentations preferred.
